Dr. Jinah Kim is a board-eligible endodontist who combines advanced scientific training with compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine, where she was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society, and completed her specialty training in Endodontics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Before pursuing dentistry, Dr. Kim was a neuroscientist at MIT, where she studied the neural mechanisms underlying autism. She earned her PhD in Neuroscience from Northwestern University and completed postdoctoral research at MIT. Motivated by a desire to improve people’s lives through science, she felt called to a profession that would allow her to care for patients more directly. Her fascination with the nervous system and pain mechanisms naturally led her to Endodontics, where she combines science with compassionate, hands-on care.
Dr. Kim is passionate about helping patients preserve their natural teeth while making every visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. She understands that many patients feel anxious about root canal treatment and takes time to listen carefully, explain treatment thoroughly, and ensure that each patient feels informed, respected, and cared for.
Fluent in both English and Korean, Dr. Kim enjoys caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and values building relationships founded on trust and compassion.
Outside the office, Dr. Kim enjoys serving her community alongside her husband, an ordained Methodist minister, exploring local cuisine, and hiking scenic trails throughout the Southeast.
